East Bay United Futbol Club History

Our History
East Bay United Futbol Club (club began as Bayside United), established in 1997, is a competitive youth soccer club serving Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.  East Bay United FC is a member of Rhode Island Youth Soccer which is recognized by the United States Soccer Federation.
East Bay United FC runs under the direction of its originator Coach Stacey DeCastro providing an advanced program of coaching and competition to help student-athletes reach the highest level of soccer and academia. 

East Bay United FC currently has teams that compete in the Sub-Region Premier League, NSL, and the Massachusetts Soccer Conference League, our Club is built on a strong foundation of player development and success.

EAST BAY UNITED FC has a partnership with STOKE CITY, this partnership provide our players a pathway to Europe. Benefits include knowledge sharing, regular visits and coaching content to support the growth of players and coaches.
East Bay United FC’s coaches and players have the opportunity to work with the Academy coaches of Stoke City in both North America and the United Kingdom, offering an insight into the player development program of one of England’s top football Academies.  Our players have the opportunity to participate in the Stoke City Player “I.D” Camp.
Our club has established competitive teams from ages U8 through U19.  Our goal is to give players the opportunity to develop their skills to become the “Best That They Can Be”. 
Since our inception, we have compiled 40 State Championships, three Regional Semi-Finalists, and countless Championships at premier level tournaments.  Over the years, East Bay United FC’s players have had remarkable success at the collegiate level, making an impact at schools such as Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, University of West Virginia, University of New Hampshire, UMass Amherst, University of Rhode Island, Holy Cross, Rhode Island College, Hobbart College, Brown University, Providence College, Wellesley College, Boston College, Syracuse, as well as other Division I, II, and III schools.
The following players are just a few of the successes of Coach Stacey DeCastro and East Bay United FC.
Michael Parkhurst played for New England Revolution, Augsburg(Germany), Columbus Crew and now is the captain of Atlanta United. Nico Colaluca formerly of the New England Revolution, and Geoff Cameron played for the Houston Dynamos and now for Stoke City(England). These players  are an inspiration for all of our players.
In addition to our league play we also compete in tournaments locally, regionally, and nationally such as Disney Showcase, Jefferson Cup, Potomac, Match Fit, and Nashua Cup.  We use the tournament atmosphere to bond as a team while exposing our players to high level soccer competition. At the high school level our coaches spend much of their time attending tournaments to college showcase the players.

Our Mission

East Bay United FC is leading premier club in New England.  The club develops and nurtures the top youth players in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.  We provide our membership the best coaching, facilities, competition, and exposure.  When combined with our “Discipline, Desire, and Dedication” club philosophy, these factors create a unique environment for the serious soccer player. We strive for excellence on the field, and encourage the same high standard both in the classroom and as members of our community.
