Head Coach: Matt DeCastro


Matt has been playing soccer since the age of 4.  He played for Bayside United Premier Soccer Club(Now East Bay United FC) with the “Stompers” as a Mid Fielder and Striker. The Stompers won many prestigious tournaments throughout the USA.  They were the National Indoor Finalists for 2 years.  Won the RI Championships Tournaments 5 years advancing to the Regional Semi Finals once.

Matt graduated from Providence Country Day (PCD), while in high school he was the varsity captain 3 years, MVP 4 years, All SENE 4 years, All New England 3 years. He scored a high-school record of 157 goals in 4 years and lead the team with 62 assists.  He was recruited and played soccer while attending UNH (University of New Hampshire), a division one school. He tried out and was offered a contract for Belenense Junior team (1st division) in Portugal.

He combines the European style of coaching with the American style to deliver the best of both styles to his team, he is dedicated and believes in developing players to their best ability and capacity.
Matt has a class E license as well as NSCAA Diploma.  He is currently working on additional coaching licenses to further his coaching Knowledge.

Matt enters his sixth season as a member of the East Bay United FC coaching staff and is looking forward to
another season with the team and working together to make each player be The Best That He Can Be!
